Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami acting secretary general Maulana Abu Taher Muhammad Masum said, “Shahid Allama Saydee was brutally killed. According to Surah Al-Imram verse no. 157, he is a martyr. He was jailed as he invited people to the path of Quran. The government was martyred him.”
He urged all to be united to bear the spirit and ideology of Maulana Saydee.
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a virtual discussion meeting and prayer mahfil in the capital at 3: 00 pm. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the discussion meeting and prayer mahfil in remembrance of Jamaat central Nayeb-e-Ameer and renowned speaker, orator, muffassir Allama Delware Hossain Saydee. Jamaat Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa presided over the discussion meeting and prayer mahfil. Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim conducted it. A H M Hamidur Rahman Azad, former MP and assistant secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, was the special guest. Assistant secretary Maulana Abdul Halim, publicity secretary Motiur Rahman Akand, Maulana Saydee’s colleague Maulana Lutfor Rahman were also the special guests. Shamim Saydee and Masud Saydee, sons of Allama Saydee, Jamaat Dhaka City North Nayeb-e-Ameer and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura engineer Golum Mustafa and Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir president Rajibur Rahman Polash also spoke in the prayer mahfil. Mahfuzur Rahman, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, was also present.
Chief guest led Dua and Munajat for forgiveness and mercy of Allama Saydee and for the welfare of the country and the nation at the end of the discussion meeting and prayer mahfil.
‘Shahid Saydee served the nation and the country. He was uncompromising. He will be ever fresh for his contributions to politics and history of Bangladesh. He was one of the pioneers of world Islamic movement. He played an important role to solve international conflicts. He visited the interior of Holy Baitullah. He was the leader of mass people. Having failed to face Allama Saydee politically and ideologically, government tortured on him. The government killed him, martyred him’, Jamaat acting secretary added.
The chief guest called upon all to go ahead by taking learning from the life and philosophy of Allama Saydee.
‘Allama Saydee was a renowned preacher. He reached the invitation of Islam more than 50 years. A lot of people accepted the message of Islam from him. He is a famous muffassir’, he also added.
‘Shahid Allama Delware Hossain Saydee was an ideal person. He was an world scholar. He was a valuable asset’, A H M Hamidur Azad added.
He called upon all to work unitedly for the welfare of the country and nation by turning the mourning of the martyrs into strength.
Allama was the blessings for Bangladesh. He was a famous preacher. He invited people to the path of Islam. He kept the message of The Holy Quran. He never bowed down to injustice and untruth.

Maulana Delware Hossain Saydee was the pioneer of world Islamic movement. He was deprived of justice. A justice acquitted of him and remaining two sentenced him to death and other two sentenced him jail until death. This type of verdict is rare in the history of world justice’, advocate Motiur Rahman Akand added.
‘Maulana Saydee dreamt to establish a welfare state on the basis of justice. He is our leader. We have to complete his incomplete works. We have to be united. We have to follow the spirit of Allama Saydee’, Maulana Lutfor Rahman added.
‘The aim of the government is to kill top leaders. It was not primarily possible to kill Allama Saydee. Later he was killed in a planned way. He spent his entire life to the path of Holy Quran,’ Shamim Saydee, son of Maulana Saydee, added.
‘The whole process of treatment was mysterious. He did not meet his family members. The hospital authorities did not consult and even inform any of the family members while putting Allama Saydee on life support’, Masud Saydee, son of Allama Saydee, added.
He called on everyone to get ready to avenge the blood of all martyrs, including martyr Saydee by establishing Islam in the country.
T’he people of Bangladesh are Islam lovers but the government is Islamophobic. More than hundred people were martyred the day when the verdict of Allama Saydee was announced. This fascist government has no right to stay in power’, Abdur Rahman Musa added as the chair.
He called upon all to show no-confidence to this autocratic government.
