Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North assistant secretary and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura Nazim Uddin Mollah said, “‘Inflation has turned into a challenge due to government’s unbridled corruption and looting. To save from mass upheaval, they (govt.) have imprisoned top leaders including Jamaat Ameer and city Ameer. They have also imprisoned alem-ulemas unjustly. They want to come to power again to arrange a vote rigging election.”
The government should be ousted for the greater interest of the country and the nation. He urged all to come down on the streets to show no-confidence to this authoritarian government.
He today said these as the chief guest while addressing a preparation meeting at an auditorium of the capital. Rampura-Badda zone of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North organized the meeting. Badda thana west Ameer Abdus Sobur Farhad presided over the preparation meeting. Masudur Rahman, Ameer of Badda thana south, Bhatara thana Ameer advocate Rezaul Karim, Bashundara thana Ameer Abul Bashar, Rampura thana Nayeeb-e-Ameer Shahabuddin, secretary of the thanas thana working committee members and ward fellow brothers were also present in the preparation meeting.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a rally at the north gate premises of Baitul Mukararam National Mosque in Dhaka city on August 1 to press home the demands for the release of all national leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the formation of election-time caretaker government, the control of price hike of essentials.
‘The fascist government has abolished the caretaker government system established on the basis of national consensus to remain in power illegally. They have destroyed democracy and democratic institutions of the country,’ he added.
He urged all to join the August 1 Dhaka rally.
