Sher-e- Bangla Nagar thana south of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged a preparation meeting at an auditorium in the capital to succeed for August 1 Dhaka rally. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a rally at the north gate premises of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on August 1 to press home the demands for establishing election-time caretaker government, release of its leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, control of price hike of essentials.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar thana south Ameer and member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North Maulana Aminul Islam presided over the meeting. Thana secretary Abu Sayeed Mondol conducted it. Ataur Rahman Sarker, publicity secretary and member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, was the chief guest. Jamil bin Hossain, member of thana working committee, Abduz Jawad, Maulana Ruhul Amin and others were also present in the meeting.
‘Jamaat will hold the rally for establishing people’s voting rights. People think a free, fair and participatory election will not be held under Awami League government. Awami League is a vote rigging government. They want to arrange a farce in the name of elections to prolog their illegal power,’ publicity secretary added.
Ataur Rahman Sarker demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all national leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
He urged everyone to join the rally
‘Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working for the sake of franchise. They want to establish a welfare state based on Justice, said Aminul Islam as the chair.
