Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa called upon the city residents irrespective of party affiliations and thoughts to join the August 1 rally, which will be held at the premises of north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, to express no-confidence to this failed and fascist government. He also urged them to make the rally peaceful and successful.
He today said these as the chair while speaking at a coordination meeting in an auditorium of the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the meeting. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North and South will hold a rally in Dhaka city to press home the demands for establishing an election-time non-partisan caretaker government, release of its leaders, Islamic scholars and preachers including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, control of price hike of essentials. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim also spoke in the coordination meeting. Mahfuzur Rahman, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Muhammad Jamal Uddin, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Maulana Muhibullah, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, Nasir Uddin, Shibir leader Salah Uddin, Abdur Rahim, Asaduzzaman and others were also present in the meeting.
‘This awami government is illegal. They are not elected by people. They have not been working for the sake of people for 15 years. They have laundered money. They have killed Jamaat leaders for only political purpose. They have imprisoned Ameer-e-Jamaat, city Ameer and other top leaders,’ Abdur Rahman Musa added.
He urged the government to avoid bad politics. He also demanded the unconditional and immediate release of all top leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and city Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin.
‘The prices of daily essentials are increasing day by day. Inflation is occurring. Alem-ulemas have been imprisoned,’ acting Ameer further added.
‘Awami League is an anti-democratic force. They have taken away the voting rights of people. For this reason, they have cancelled the election-time caretaker government in a controversial way,’ city secretary added.
