Planting trees we take care, we build up a green country. A month long tree plantation program has been inaugurated by the initiative of youth branch of Gulshan west thana of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North. Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and coordinator of youth branch of Jamaat Dhaka City North was the chief guest. Abu Zunayed, acting Ameer of Gulshan west thana, was the special guest.
The guests plant trees around the Gulshan lake. Abdul Mutaleb, member of executive committee of Gulshan youth branch, Maulana Rahmat Ullah, Abu Doya, Abdul Matin, Maulana Idris, Talim Hossain and others were also present.
“More trees should be planted for the challenge of natural disasters and climate change around the globe, for meeting food shortages and for maintaining ecological balance. Deforestation is occurring lack of awareness. The supply of oxygen is reducing in the air. So, tree plantation program should be nationalized,” dr. Manik added.
“If a Muslim plants a tree or grows a crop and a person or a bird or an animal eats it, it will be considered as sadaqah (charity) for the grower.” (Bukhari, Muslim).
‘We have to plant trees more and more to save the environment from natural calamities,’ he further added.
