According to verse no. 219 of The Holy Quran, They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.” And they ask you what they should spend. Say, “The excess [beyond needs].” Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought. Allah said at verse no. 90 of Surat al-Mayeda, “You who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.”
“Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?” Surat al-Mayeda, verse no. 91.
“There is no alternative but to build up a family and social movement against drugs,” acting Ameer added. He called for a national unity to curb drugs.
“Alcohol is completely forbidden in Islam. Drugs destroy the creativity and eternal energy of people and make them unconscious. If there is a drug addict in a family, the whole family is in turmoil. Alcohol destroys human conscience. As a result, people indulge in various vices such as adultery and immorality. Basically, one of the signs of doomsday is the prevalence of drugs. And one of the reasons for society becoming consumerist is the spread of drugs. If we observe, we will find that consumerists are heavily addicted to drugs,” he further added.
“Alcohol has been spreaded in a planned way in our country. They alleged that there is a limited presence of drugs in medicine. In this way, they are spreading the marketing of drugs. The knowledge of Quran and Sunna, public awareness, anti- drugs law are needed to control the spread of drugs. Laws should be imposed strictly. abyāhata rākhā darakāra.
The anti-drug campaign needs to be continued throughout the year. Then the country and the nation will be saved,” he also added.
