Issuing a joint greeting statement, the two leaders today (on Monday) said these on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
“Ibrahim (AS), father of the Muslim nation, was prepared to sacrifice Ismail (AS), his beloved son, to obey the order of Allah (SW). They ( both Ibrahim and Ismail AS) passed in the test of Allah. The Muslim nation has been celebrating the day as Eid al-Adha from that day. The real teaching of Eid al-Adha is the obedience, satisfaction to Allah and the highest sacrifice for the sake of humanity,” Jamaat leaders added in a joint statement.
Then they quoted the verse no. 37 of surat al Hajj where Allah (SW) said, “Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.”
Inspired by the spirit of sacrifice, the city leaders called upon all to work together for the sake of humanity through self-construction and self-purification.
“We all should be worked together by stopping injustice, untruth, hatred, oppression, torture to establish a peaceful society and state for the sake of humanity. Sacrifice is the sigh of goodness from Allah,” they further added.
They urged to the government to release all alem-ulemas, political leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Nayeeb-e-Ameer Allama Delware Hossain Saidee, assistant secretary ATM Azharul Islam, Nayeeb-e-Ameer and former MP Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, secretary general and former MP Mia Golum Parwer, assistant secretary general Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Jamaat Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, former MP and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura Shajahan Chowdhury.
They greeted the city dwellers on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
