Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary, member of central working committee and chairman of Lakshmipur Sadar Development Foundation Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is always uncompromising to make the country a welfare state by establishing a corruption, hunger and poverty free society on the basis of justice.”
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing 40 dheutins to a helpless and homeless family and hand cashes to two other families. Bhalovasar Bondhon Expatriate Forum of 11 number Hazipara union organized the event. Milon, vice-president of Lakshmipur Sadar Development Foundation, chaired the event. Rezaul Islam Sumon, secretary of Chandraganj thana Jamaat unit, was the special guest. Maulana Abdur Rahim, Hazipara union Ameer, social worker Khokon Akib, Shajahan and others were also present in the event.
“Janaat is a pro-people, welfare and idealist political organization. Jamaat has played a significant role in all pro-independence and post-independence democratic movement. We have been working for the sake of people since its establishment. People are being deprived of their rights as a welfare state is not established in the country. But Jamaat has been working to reduce the miseries of people as a pro-people and welfare political organization. A political organization cannot solve all the problems of the citizens but a state can. There is no alternative but to turn the country into a welfare state,” Dr. Rezaul Karim added.
He urged all to be united under the banner of Jamaat to make good citizens, to establish good governance and build up a peaceful society free from corruption.
“Unemployment is one of the major problems in our national life. We are suffering a lot due to misrule, unbridled corruption and reckless looting. If we are able to establish good governance, it is possible to make the citizens of the country self-reliant, active and independent. Shahid Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahasan Muhammad Muzahid successfully served the three ministries of Bangladesh. They are the examples of corruption free ministries. There is no alternative but to establish the government of Jamaat,” he further added.
He called upon all to play a significant role to make Jamaat candidates win in the upcoming national elections.
“Government is making various types of conspiracies to pass the mass demand of caretaker government during the elections. They want to stay in state power by rigging votes again. But the conscious people will never allow their conspiracies,” city secretary added again.
He called upon the government to immediately hand over power to caretaker government. Otherwise, people will secure their mass demand on the streets In-Sha-Allah.
