Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “If every citizen of the state is being employed, it will be possible to make a hunger and poverty free country.”
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing refrigerators, laptops and sewing machines from the side of Ameer-e-Jamaat among the poor at an auditorium in the capital in order to alleviate poverty and create employment. Kafrul south thana of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the program. Thana Ameer Abu Tayeb presided over the program. Thana secretary Mushab Muhaimeen conducted it. Salah Uddin Shaheen, member of thana working committee, Jamaat leader Enamul Haque, Ekhlas Uddin, Jahangir Hossain and others were also president in the program.
“Increasing population is not a burden at all. A man is not only born to eat but also he has the ability to grow more foods. The increasing population has to turn into human resource. But the state is doing nothing for them. Jamaat with its limited resources has been doing many things for the sake of unemployed people since its establishment. Today, we are distributing these from the side of Ameer-e-Jamaat. We hope our effort will help the unemployed,” Dr. M R Karim added.
The chief guest also mentioned the contributions of City Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin in this area. Selim Uddin has been working for the sake of people of this area but the government has imprisoned him unjustly.
City secretary urged all including wealthy people of the society to come forward to make the marginalized people employ.
“The teaching of Islam is the welfare of mass people. Jamaat, a pro-people, welfare, idealist and constitutional political organization, is following the ideals of Islam. Jamaat has been working for the sake of mass people since its establishment. Jamaat tries to reduce the miseries of people during the crisis moment of the nation. Jamaat wants to make the country into an Islamic welfare state on the basis of the ideals of Quran and Hadith,” he added.
He urged all irrespective of party affiliation and thoughts to come forward to play an important role on the streets.
“The government itself is now becoming isolated from the globe to make Jamaat isolate. Jamaat is not a weak political organization. The root of Jamaat is in very depth. 10 June’s rally proves it. The fascist government has been depriving Jamaat from all sorts of political and constitutional rights for a long time. Jamaat has become more popular,” he also added.
He called upon the government to hand over power to caretaker government to stop all sorts of conspiracies. He also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all top leaders including Ameer-e- Jamaat Dr. Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and city Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin. Otherwise, the government has to face public anger.
