Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary Maulana Abdul Halim urged the activists of Jamaat who have taken oath to work with patience and courage in the streets to turn the country into a welfare state on the basis of justice.
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a members’ (Rokon) learnings meeting at an auditorium in the capital. Uttara west thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the meeting. Thana Ameer Mahfuzur Rahman presided over the meeting. Thana Nayeeb-e-Ameer Sultan Ahammed conducted it. Jamaat Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim was the special guest in the meeting. Uttara east zone director and member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North Muhammad Jamal Uddin, Uttara west zone assistant director Mahbubul Alam, thana secretary Hamidul Haque and others also spoke in the meeting.
“The path of Islamic movement was never a bed of roses. We should be built ourselves correctly to face the ideals of non-believers. Our competency should be increased to face the challenges of new century. We have to study The Holy Quran and Hadith more and more. There is no alternative but the Dawah (invitation) of Islam. When common people fall in dander, they have to assist. Islamic ideal will be victorious In-Sha-Allah,” Maulana Hamid added.
“There is no defeat for the activists of Islamic movement. Allah will judge believers’ efforts. So, we should not be impatient. We have to work with wisdom, prudence and foresight,” he added.
He called upon all to build up steel-like firmness to make Islam victorious.
“The country is facing a serious economic crisis due to unbridled corruption, looting and imprudent decision of the government. The production of Payra Power Plant has already been stopped lack of coals. The price of electricity has been increased for several times amid one year but they (government) did not pay the bills of coals import. As a result, an instable situation has been created in the sector of electricity. The government has totally failed to run the state. People do not want this failed government in power anymore,” Dr. Rezaul Karim added.
He urged to the government to hand over power to caretaker government immediately.
