Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa urged all irrespective of parties and thoughts showing no confidence to government to take part in the peaceful demonstration. He also called upon all to come down to the streets protesting the oppression, torture, misrule and destruction of democracy and democratic values and demanding the re-establishment of caretaker government during election period.
He today said these as the chair while addressing at a fellow brother gathering at an auditorium in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the gathering protesting the oppression, torture, misrule and destruction of democracy and democratic values, demanding the re-establishment of caretaker government during election period, unconditional release of all top leaders including Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and aiming the success of 5 June protest demonstration and rally. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Nazim Uddin Mollah – member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Dr. Fakharudin Manik, Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member Ziaul Hasan, Jamal Uddin, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker and others also delivered their speeches in the gathering.
“The government has totally failed to run the state. Inflation has crossed the limitation of all time. The reserve situation is not also good. The government has informed that the Payra Power Plant has been stopped lack of coal import. But the government has started a new crackdown on the opposition, especially Jamaat-e-Islami, to divert public attention. The government has imprisoned all the top leaders including Ameer Shafiqur Rahman,” Abdur Rahman Musa added.
He demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all top leaders including Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. Otherwise, people will secure their leaders through mass movement.
“The USA, a friendly country, has formulated a new VISA policy for Bangladesh due to government’s illegal avarice to power. As a result, the government is addressing as a government of vote rigging all over the globe. The prime minister is giving misleading statements one after another to confuse the country and the nation without taking the issue into consideration,” Dr. Rezaul Karim added.
He urged to the government to resign immediately. Otherwise, the government has to suffer a lot.
