Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa urged the wealthy people of the country to come forward to make the joy of Eid meaningful and universal sharing the delight of Eid with under privileged and marginalized people of the society.
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing Eid items among poor people at an auditorium in Kafrul area, constituency Dhaka-15, on behalf of imprisoned Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the capital. Kafrul thana west of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the program. Thana Ameer Abdul Matin presided over the program. Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, was the special guest. Thana secretary Atique Rayhan and others were also present in the program.
“The month of Ramadan has come to an end. Eid-ul-Fitr is knocking at the door. Government has the responsibility to make Eid journey comfortable. The government has to take necessary measures so that the joy of Eid becomes universal. Jamaat is a pro-people, idealist and welfare political organization. We have been working for the sake of humanity since its establishment. From this continuation, we are trying to share the joy of Eid with you. We are distributing these on behalf of Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman,” Abdur Rahman Musa added.
“Jamaat Ameer is a humanist and kind person. He works for all irrespective of religion, caste, community and group. If Ameer-e-Jamaat were free, you would take these Eid items from him. People are being deprived of his service as he is imprisoned,” he further added.
Jamaat Dhaka City North acting Ameer urged to all level of manpower to share the joy of Eid to all classes of people. He demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all leaders including Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Jamaat Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin to government before Eid-ul-Fitr.
