Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa said, “The favorite servants of Allah in the holy month of Ramadan have spent their time to the path of self-purification. But the Awami League government who believe in tyranny could not purify themselves in the holy month of Ramadan. They were busy at arrest, tyranny and looting as a result the people of the country have been deprived of Eid joy. This is extremely unfortunate for the nation.”
He on Tuesday (25 April) said these as the chief guest while addressing at a discussing meeting and Eid reunion program titled ‘May our lives enlighten with the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan’ at an auditorium in Moghbazar in the capital. Hatirjeel area of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the program.
“The holy month of Ramadan is a magic light for the Muslims. Those who are unable to remove the darkness of life in the holy month of Ramadan are unfortunate. Awami League is also unfortunate. The people of Bangladesh are passing through a critical period during the leadership of Awami League. The government of Awami tyranny has been trying to keep away people from the laws of Allah for last 14 years. Awami League stands against Islam. They have made history arresting worshipers from prayer of Taraweeh and Iftr Mahfil,” he added.
Hemayet Hossain, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and director of Hatirjeel area of Jamaat Dhaka City North, chaired the program. Ataur Rahman Sarker, publicity editor of Jamaat Dhaka City North and assistant director of Hatirjeel area, conducted the program. Advocate Zillur Rahman, member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Maulana Aminul Islam, Engineer Noman Ahamedi, Yousuf Ali Mollah, Hafeez Maulana Ahasan Ullah, Alauddin and others were also present in the program.
“The activists of Jamaat are playing the role of Nayeeb-e-Rasul as the activists of Islamic movement from remote village to cities. They are upholding the great ideals of Islam to people. For this reason, our leaders and activists are the victims of enforced disappearance, arrest and tyranny. Our 11 central and city leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and city Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin are imprisoned. Thousands of leaders and activists have been imprisoned. They have hanged our leaders; they have martyred our leaders; they have shot our leaders and activists,” Abdur Rahman Musa further added.
“Bangladesh is in such a transitional period that it has to be rescued at the cost of sacrifice. The people of the country should be encouraged to participate together in the movement to restore the caretaker government system for holding the twelfth parliamentary elections in a fair environment. People want freedom from the tyranny of Awami League. Only the fall of the Awami League government can ensure the release of the common people of the country and our imprisoned leaders and activists. For this, all should come forward to protect human rights, democratic rights and voting rights,” acting Ameer again added.
