Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami acting Ameer professor Mujibur Rahman said, “The historic Battle of Badr changed the course of Islamic movement. The Muslim army was victorious against Kafir army (polytheists and pagans army with huge force) with a small force in this Battle and on the basis of that victory Islam was turned into an unstoppable force. So we have to inspire by the spirit of Badr and must be persistent in path of Islam.”
He urged all ignoring the oppression and torture of the government to build up a steel-like firmness in the streets to restore the mass demand for an election – time caretaker government.
He today Sunday said these as the chief guest while speaking at a virtual discussion meeting on the occasion the Badr Day in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the discussion meeting. Abdur Rahman Musa, member of central working committee and acting Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North, presided over the discussion meeting. Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim conducted it. Engineer Golum Mustafa, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and Nayeeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Mahfuzur Rahman – assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik and others spoke in the discussion meeting.
“The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). And Allah made the Muslims victorious in this month in the Battle of Badr. The Battle of Badr was the defining battle and the turning point of Islam’s victory and defeat. There is the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) in this month. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). But the fascist government is continuously torturing and persecuting on us in this holy month too. Jamaat Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin is being tortured. He has been arrested while he was breaking the fast. Top leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman are imprisoned,” professor Mujibur Rahman added.
He called for the government avoiding the ways of oppression and torture to release all national leaders including Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Selim Uddin before the upcoming Eid.
“Over the ages, the forces of disbelief (polytheists, pagans, Christians and others) have conspired to extinguish the light of Allah but they were not succeeded. Allah will make Islam victorious. So Islam must be victorious. Nobody will be able to stop the spirit of Islam. Truth has come and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart. So the activists of Islamic movement will never be frustrated by the continuous oppression and torture of the government. They should be tried their level best ignoring all obstacles to reach the destination. In this case, the number and strength are not important, but the overall situation has to be dealt with by increasing the quality. We have to establish the sovereignty of Allah,” he also added.
He urged all to be inspired by the spirit of Badr to establish an Islamic state.
“The Battle of Badr is criterion of right and wrong. The Muslims were the victorious in this historic battle. So, we should be united by the spirit of Badr to establish Islam,” engineer Golum Mustafa added.
“The Battle of Badr was held on Ramadan 17. The night of Al – Qadr (Decree) is in this month. We should be united in the streets by the spirit of Badr to make Islam (as a complete code of life) victorious,” said Abdur Rahman Musa as the chair.
