Former assistant and news editor veteran journalist Abdul Kader Miah passed away at 12: pm on Thursday afternoon (Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He was at 82. He was admitted to a hospital of the capital and kept in the ICU due to brain hemorrhage and old age.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary- member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep condolences over the death of veteran journalist Abdul Kader Miah.
“We lost a prominent journalist and writer over the death of Abdul Kader Miah. He was the superstar in the mass media. His outstanding writing and translation are the unique wealth of Islamic movement. The void created by his death in the sector of intellectual practice and thought is not easily filled,” city leaders said these in a joint condolence message.
They prayed to the court of Allah for the mercy of his soul. The city leaders also prayed to the court of Almighty Allah so that may Allah (SW) grant him the highest Janna. They expressed their deepest condolences to his bereaved family members and wished them patience.
