“We earned independence by fighting heart and soul against the Pakistani forces for securing equality, human dignity, social justice and free democracy. But the post-liberation period, the government did not follow Islamic ideals in their ruling for this reason, the independence was not meaningful. Though 90% of the population of this country is Muslim but the constitution was not composed according to The Holy Quran and Sunna. If we want to make our independence meaningful, we have to come back to Islamic ideals,” he added.
He remembered the martyred freedom fighters with deep respect and honor and prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of their souls.
“Man-made ideologies are never good for man. The people of the different parts of the globe have witnessed the misrule of socialism and communism. These man-made ideals have caused differences among people. They have snatched away the rights of mass people. They have rigged votes and destroyed democracy and democratic values. For this reason, inflation has been occurred in the holy month of Ramadan. So, the fathers of these ideals cannot go ahead,” Selim Uddin further added.
He urged all to be united under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami to establish the rule of honest and skilled leaders instead of the rule dishonest and unskilled leaders.
“It is Jamaat which is the most successful political party in this country. We have been working for the welfare of mass people since its establishment. Jamaat has taken various activities for the welfare of common people. We have set up many schools, colleges, madrashas, charitable hospitals. We have been working for the welfare of endangered people since its establishment. We will continue our efforts In-Sha-Allah,” Jamaat leader again added.
He urged the government to resign immediately. Election-time caretaker government should be restored for securing the rights of votes of mass people. Otherwise, people will secure their mass demand to the streets In-Sha-Allah.
