Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged the Muslims to perfectly observe the holy month of Ramadan, a month of blessings, mercy and redemption from the punishment of Hell. He also called forth them to attain Takwa (fear of Allah) by fasting and night prayer for the welfare of this time and the emancipation from the punishment of Hereafter.
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing Iftar and Eid materials among the local poor people. Turag thana of Bangladesh Jamaatt-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the program. Thana Ameer Mahbubur Rahman presided over the program. Former thana Ameer Saidur Rahman, thana secretary Abu Bakar and others were also president in the program.
“Ramadan is the month of self-purification, self- construction and fear of Allah. The Holy Quran has been revealed in this month. Allah says, ‘The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong)’. So, observing fasting is mandatory in this month,” he added.
Dr. Rezaul Karim urged all to be united to use the teachings of Ramadan in practical life.
“Government should take some steps so that the fasters can observe fasting properly but it is a matter of sorrow that before coming the holy month of Ramadan, the scarcity of water has been begun. Government could not ensure the supply of gas to consumers in any Ramadan. Even load shedding is a common affair in Dhaka city. Price hike has crossed the limit of all times before coming the holy month of Ramadan. They could not take necessary steps to ensure the sacredness of the holy month of Ramadan. They could not take any actions against the concerned who open hotels and restaurants at day time. They could not stop filthiness and obscenity,” he again added.
“The ideal of Islam is to serve the endangered people and Jamaat is a pro-people, benevolent, democratic and ideal political party. For this, they are distributing Iftar and Eid materials to poor people,” he further added.
City secretary urged the wealthy people of the society to come forward to reduce the miseries of the endangered people in the upcoming Ramadan.
