Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “A group of hypocrite businessmen is causing anarchy in the market of daily essentials before the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. Government is directly and indirectly sheltering them.”
He today said these while speaking at a pre- demonstration rally in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the demonstration demanding the protection of the sacredness of the holy month of Ramadan, decreasing the price of daily essentials, reducing the price of Hazz package, demanding the unconditional release of all leaders and activists including Ameer-e-Jamaat and the restoration for an election- time caretaker government. The demonstration was started from Badda Shajazpur Buss Stand. It moved various important roads of the city. It was ended at Gulshan Link Road. Mahfuzur Rahman, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka city North, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr Fakharuddin Manik, Ziaul Hasan, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Jamal Uddin, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, Nasir Uddin, Shahidullah and others were also present in the demonstration.
“The prices of daily essentials in many countries of the world are reduced to observe fasting easily. The prices of 9 hundred products have been decreased to 75% in AUE on the occasion the holy month of Ramadan. The prices of daily necessaries have been decreased in the countries of the Middle East. But inflation has been caused in a planned way to earn more money in Bangladesh,” he added.
He demanded to the government to take necessary actions to reduce the prices of daily essentials. He also urged the government to stop filthy and anti-Islamic activities in the holy month of Ramadan.
“It is the responsibility of the state to facilitate the religious observance of every citizen of the country. But the government of night election has fixed Hazz package approximately 7 lace taka to ban Hazz observance indirectly. The air fare of Hazz pilgrims is 1 lace and 96 thousand and for Umra is 1 lace and for tour only 60 thousand. These irregularities indicate the government want to impose some strict rules on pilgrims,” he also added.
He ten compared the costs of Hazz pilgrims in Bangladesh with some Muslim ans non-Muslim neighboring countries. He urged the government to reduce Hazz package immediately.
He demanded to the government to release all political leaders and activists including Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman immediately. Otherwise, people will secure their mass demand to the streets In-Sha-Allah.
