Professor Fazle Azim passed away in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hospital at 5:00 am today (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He was the director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, former president of Luxmipur Forum Dhaka, Founder Chairman of Takaful Islami Insurance and Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate for the provincial council in the 1970 national election. He was suffering from various physical complications including old age diseases. He was at 88. He left 2 sons, 2 daughters, relatives and many other well-wishers.
The deceased’s Namaj-e-Janaja was held after Johor prayer at Japan City Garden Mosque. Then he was buried at Rayer Bazar Martyred Intellectual Graveyard. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim and others were also present in the Janaja.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed a message of deep condolence over the death of professor Fazle Azim. Dr. Rezaul Karim is also the chairman of Luxmipur Sadar Unnyanon Foundation.
We lost a preacher over the death of professor Fazle Azim. He dreamt to establish a justice based state. We lost an honest and old person.
May Almighty Allah forgive and grant him the highest Jannat. He conveyed sympathy to the deceased’s family members and prayed for them so that they could be patient.
