Mohammad Selim Uddin was sworn in as the Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North unit for the session of 2025-2026 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center yesterday evening. He was elected as an Ameer by the votes of party members of Dhaka City North unit. Jamaat’s chief election commissioner Maulana ATM Masum announced the name of Mohammad Selim Uddin as the Ameer of the city unit. Jamaat’s nayeb-e-Ameer and former law maker professor Mujibur Rahman was the chief guest in the ceremony. Jamaat’s Secretary General and former law maker Professor Mia Golum Parwar administered the oath on behalf of Jamaat chief. Jamaat’s Dhaka City North unit’s working committee members including members of the unit were present on the ceremony. Then, newly elected Ameer addressed the members’ conference and guided them about various subjects. Professor Mujibur Rahman conducted the prayer.
Mohammad Selim Uddin will serve the unit for the session of 2024-2025. Members of Jamat Dhaka City North unit cast their votes on October 13. Later, Jamaat chief Dr. Shafiqur Rahman pronounced the name of Mohammad Selim Uddin as the Ameer of the unit in a central working committee meeting.
